I was hoping they'd bring back ios6.
At least ios 8 is no worse than iOS 7

I accidentally deleted two email messages by swiping too far. Turned that flag thing right off

I'm glad. Mines a wreck.

How so? What's the specific behavior?

Couple of questions:
(1) How much free space is on your device?
(2) Did you try to start using it immediately after the install, but before the iPad finished re-indexing your content and cleaning up?
(3) Do you have an app that shows CPU usage? (I like Monitor, but I'm not sure if that's still in the App store.) If so, what does it show the load on the CPU is?

Here is a quote from me in another thread

I tapped Safari, the icon darkened and it took three seconds before the opening animation even occurred. That was on a clean install.

I opened the mail app, which disappeared so I was starting at my wallpaper even after I force quit it 3 times.

I can type a good three sentences on an unresponsive keyboard before anything shows up.

Safari often freezes on a white screen when scrolling and switching tabs results in a white screen until the site pops up.

After I double click the home butter or use the four finger gesture there is about a 2 second delay before the app switcher activates and the animation is usually completely absent because of the lag.

I can deal with the Safari UI lag, but it is loading webpages noticeably slower. And every time I try to delete something from reading list I get "Bookmarks are synching".

CPU usage is normal. Yes, I let it sit on and idle for hours to re-index. and it has like 8 GB free.

The two camps on the internet are quite intriguing to me.

Camp 1 feels Apple is perpetually behind Android and needs to cram the next OS release with as many features as possible, and "start innovating".

Camp 2 gets annoyed anytime Apple changes anything. They want iOS 6 back and they want skeumorphism.

I'll just kick back and eat my popcorn. ;)
