iOS 8 makes my LTE unusable

LTE worked perfectly fine on 7.1.2, with carrier version TFW 16.0. Now on iOS 8, carrier version was updated to TFW 17.0 and LTE is unusable.

When I toggle LTE off, 3G works fine and 3G works fine in areas with 3G only. When LTE is automatically picked up its impossibly slow and unusable.

LTE worked fine on the previous iOS versiom.

Is there anyway I can downgrade the carrier version to TFW 16.0 without going back to 7.1.2?

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm on Straight Talk. Not really unlimited. Not even close to their 3 gb limit this month. It seemed to be doing better today.

Interestingly, when its on 3G it seems to be more consistent. It did function better on 7.1.2, with the previous carrier version. It could very well be the carrier as well. I'll continue to monitor it and see how it goes.
