iOS 8 Safari Tabs

In past versions of Safari, a single tab still appeared on the tab bar, allowing you to click the X to close that tab. With iOS 8, the tab bar only appears when you have 2 or more tabs. Anyone know how to change the behavior so that there is always a tab bar visible?
