Well with the new iOS 8 in beta many people haven’t had a chance to try out widgets and keyboards. I just tried some out and its really cool! I can’t wait till iOS 8 is publicly released!

Note: You must be a developer or your UDID registered with certificates and provisioning to install these.

Actually just heard these keyboards are pretty useless. Hopefully fleksy and swiftkey come out soon.
 
Cool, good thread idea. This is by far my favourite iOS8 feature. Overdue but very appreciated. I'm a little surprised Apple is even allowing third party keyboards in the first place to be honest. Seems like that's the only thing you can customize so it's different than usual.

I don't think they would help me type any faster. I would still love to try them though. Also I'm sure there will be apps just to customize the design of the standard keyboard

You should make a YouTube video demonstrating the widget
 
I don't have a developer account but does either the default iOS8 keyboard or the 3rd party (swype/swiftkey) have gesture typing (or drag whatever it's called)? Just curious. :)

No it does not have gesture typing or drag
I have a dev account
