I know u can use wifi calling but can u send SMS/mms over wifi to non iOS users too?

Well you can send SMS from your Mac running Yosemite, but your phone will have to be turned on and have a cellular signal since ultimately the message is being sent by your phone.

Yeah I was wondering since u can call over wifi, can u send a text message over wifi as well. Anybody know?

Wifi calling is exactly that wifi calling. It does not include sms. Three uk have released an app that allows you to wifi call and text from within the app. But it's not a feature of the current apple wifi calling.

I can confirm I can do sms on wifi with tmobile. It works.

Wifi calling on the iPhone supports sending SMS over WiFi. The only partner using it in the US is T-Mobile and SMS over wifi works just fine when wifi calling is enabled.

Yup. Love it cuz I work in a concrete building. Every service struggles in here. Thankfully we have wifi (and I have my rmini jb with tetherme) so now I'm good
