my 16GB iPhone 5S is still in iOS 8.4. I have been struggling to upgrade it to 9. Usually my phone has 4GB free space. However very often when I sync it with iTunes the free space will be reduced to 2.7GB. Sometimes iTunes will miscalculate it as I still have 5GB free space or sometimes it is the same as what my phone says. I will then need to sign out of iCloud account and then log in again so that I will get more free space. I am wondering if it will be possible for me to encounter this problem again with iOS 9.

Moreover the thing I like about JB is I can always do some cleanup with my phone to free up space. I am curious that in iOS 9 can we delete the downloaded files in the apps such as Instagram easily? Or I will need to reinstall it in order to free up more space?
