With the official iPad Facebook app arriving, do we think the negotiations with Apple were finally successful? Any chance we will see Facebook integration in iOS 5.0.1 ala Twitter integration?

negotiations failed the moment apple added twitter instead of Facebook and sounds like they failed over issues with revenue from apps.

Whatever it was over, i doubt Facebook is going to be integrated in the future since Project Spartan is going to take revenue away from the appstore and apple isn't going to like that.

Although, maybe apple will buy Facebook and integrate it with Siri  .oo(waits for that rumour to hit the blogs!)

actually i think it was meant to be both since there's evidence in the code of stuff for facebook, but facebook got stroppy, like with the whole Ping incident.

The continued delay was reported as being caused by ongoing negotiations, which is why I ask if the release means those negotiations were finally completed...
