iOS apps on OS (?)

So is Apples drive to eventually allow applications to cross over regardless of device? Do you think it could happen with the next major OS release?

it's not that simple. the interface is very different. I can't see it happening in 10.9 if ever.

That would be cool. But like the above poster said, interface issues, etc. There would also be the problem of different platforms and hardware.
