All Devices iOS Beta timelimit?

I seem to recall iOS betas, each build used to have a timelimit, and device would die if not updated to a newer version. Require deep recovery, etc? Google not turning up ****, did I imagine?

My demo device on 13.0b... removed profile, planning to leave here for the remainder of 13.0 rollout.

Long time ago now, when you needed UDID in a dev account, Apple killed that system, probably cause it was dumb & pointless, same for iOS beta timebombs (they were removable with ih8sn0w anyway)
