We've got two ATV 4Ks and a single ATV3. Until very recently, I had to use the separate 'Remote' app from the App Store to control the ATV3, whilst the in-built remote (accessible via Control Centre) listed only the two ATV 4Ks.
I noticed today that the built-in remote now shows the ATV3 in its drop-down. Not sure if this was an iOS or ATV3 update that enabled it, but it's there! Nice to have all three controllable from the same place.
