my girlfriend has a 4s and i have an iPhone 5. we both use straight talk and I've been noticing something odd. when i send an iMessage to a friend with an iPhone 5, it seems to go through right away. however, when i send a iMessage to my girlfriend, it sometimes has a long delay of 5-10 minutes. sometimes when she sends me an iMessage, there is a long delay receiving the message on my end. i'm really confused by this. she has hspa+ wherever she goes and i always have lte anywhere i go.

any advice is helpful. thanks

I don't think the 4S is capable of LTE

Are the iMessage text being sent as iMessages (blue bubble) or converted to SMS (green bubble) ?

Is iMessage activated for proper accounts on both your phones (telephone numbers and/or email addresses) ?

He knows this, reread the post he states that she (his girlfriend that has a 4S) has AT&T's hspa+....

Both accounts are linked properly and are being sent as iMessages
