iOS does not always let me pick password from keychain

I have very complicated passwords for my Apple IDs and occasionally it asks me to re-enter my password when I try to download a new app but for some reason it does not let me choose the password from my keychain inside the AppStore pop up. It’s really annoying. I always need to go into the settings app and copy my password so I can manually paste it inside the pop up in the AppStore app.

Bug or feature?
