Okay, so.. I currently have a watermark on the top left corner of the device (iPhone 4S) that reads: "You've Been Occupied, Sucker" that is barely visible. It doesn't appear in iOS Screenshots and is so faint it won't show up from a picture on a camera (or at least my point and shoot is terrible).

I tried restoring the device (5.0.1), but to no avail. I originally woke up seeing a strange "dent" in top right corner. I assumed I had damage it, but looking closing it was an outline of a message.

It's obvious what the message is referring to, heh. I only figured how it got there.. /facepalm

I currently work at Telus as a Product Care Representative. I had a customer come yesterday (young guy) that apparently just got an iPhone 4 from Apple, but they told him to come to Telus to have one of us insert a SIM card to activate it. I highly doubted this.. But I was very busy and on a deadline with shipments and other discrepancies so I just popped my SIM card in his.. Didn't work.. And then realized he had iOS 4 and not 5 (Telus doesn't have the latest iTunes to activate iOS 5) so I popped it into iTunes, work fine, popped the SIM card in back in mine, he was very grateful and left.

I soon realized my iPhone wasn't accepting the SIM, after about two hours of not looking at it. Called our Tech Support, they reset the SIM. Everything worked fine. I then woke up this morning to this cute Watermark that I can't seem to get rid of. ;(

Honestly, it was quite stupid of me, seeing as the phone didn't look new at all and was ridiculous to think Apple wouldn't activate a opened iPhone if he decided to buy it unlocked and open it there. But I was honestly not thinking about it, had more important things on my mind.

Any thoughts on what I could do? I searched Google on this but nothing came up, making me suspect it's just an isolated prank on myself and anyone else that fell for it. Or I could something completely different, I'm just guessing at this point.

I did a second restore and now the message seems to have completely dissapeared, however, the shaded watermark still exists. A shaded outline on both sides of the screen going straight down and increases in clarity towards the top. It doesn't appear at all when an application is in landscape mode. It's almost completely invisable unless you focus in on it, but it is irriattating when your reading white webpages. I'm just more concerned if it was more then just a graphical addition and not something more sinister going on in the background.

I posted this on the official Apple Forums, and as I suspected, they aren't able to help due to the nature of the issue being either a hack/jailbreak. I have never jailbroken this device. I'm honestly just concerned of the security ramifications that this may have. If is indeed just a graphical prank, I can live with it.

Thanks in advanced.
