Ios is the OS X!

i have search the files of my iPhone 5 in iOS 8 with the emu4ios(dot)net and I see the same files of my mac. I have images. But I don't know why the apple don't unify the iOS and the mac OS. With this the developers only need to adapt the apps for the screen size.
