iOS keeps switching to ExpressVPN instead of Adguard which is set to do this

HI Folks,
I have both Adguard and ExpressVPN on my iPhone. Adguard is set to connect on demand. ExpressVPM Lightway is not. The phone constantly switches to ExpressVPN Lightway in Settings/VPN. How can I stop this?

Looked for a setting in the App but couldn't find one. Maybe I missed it...
Only setting I see is to change the Protocal to UPD, TCP or IKEv2 or Automatic

I've found dual VPN profiles to be generally erratic on iOS with things switching on or off unexpectedly and leaving you unprotected without warning.
I'd suspect that the connect on demand feature on Adguard VPN is disconnecting when it doesn't want it any more and therefore switching off and activating Express, which then takes over and stays on until there's a manual change as it's not set to connect on demand.
I've ended up using the Adguard DNS to get adgaurd filtering and had to use a single alternative VPN for traffic security as I just couldn't get them to play nice together
