With the recent winter blast, I suddenly noticed that weather advisories issued by the national weather service are not showing up at all in the Weather app across all platforms: iOS, iPadOS, macOS Ventura (all latest versions).

For instance, I searched Pittsburgh in The Weather Channel and as the screenshot shows, there is a Wind Chill Advisory for it. Even the Dark Sky app shows there is a Wind Chill Advisory. However, when I turn to the native Weather app, there is no such advisory. The screenshot below was taken on my Mac, but the problem exists across all Apple platforms.

Is this a bug or am I missing turning on some setting?

You need to set notifications individually for each location. Go to the 3 dots in the upper right of the screen (on IOS). A big however, I continue to have missing notifications in Apple’s Weather app. Sent numerous feedback’s on the issue. With Dark Sky going/gone, I am using AccuWeather or Carrot. Apple’s weather app needs a lot of work.

I have notifications set individually for all my locations.

I don’t, however, think these are the same kinds of notifications that I’m talking about. These kinds of advisories do not send a notification to the Notification Center. Rather, when you navigate to a place with a weather advisory, the weather advisory simply shows to indicate that said place has a weather advisory/warning/watch issued.

Here’s an example of a wind chill advisory issued by the National Weather Service for Pittsburgh, PA (this will probably expire once the advisory is done):
