Only with iOS 16, I’m noticing a fun new quirk. Within the native Mail app, if I have the setting “Hide IP Address” turned on (within the privacy protection setting), when I look at all my emails inside an inbox, they will not pull in the 2 or 3 lines of content previews under the subject line unless I actively go into the email first — there will just be empty space / no preview of the email.
If I then uncheck “Hide IP Address”, force close the Mail app, and then open it back up, and manually refresh the inbox, all the 2-3 line content text starts to populate under the subject within the inbox view.
Anybody else noticing this? I believe I had this setting on before in iOS 15 and don’t remember there being issues pulling in email content previews.
EDIT: should clarify it looks like this impacts IMAP accounts (even if set to automatic fetch) but didn’t seem to impact Exchange ActiveSync (Push).
