We're at the point where Apple needs to add options to allow users the flexibility to disable all the animations and other eye candy which slows down older devices. People want to keep their devices longer but the poor Apple software people make their programs more bloaty with every release. It's time to fix this Apple and give us Android style flexibility to configure OUR devices.

Not what it’s intended for though would help accomplish some of what you desire:
Stop or reduce onscreen motion on iPhone
Stop or reduce the movement of some screen elements, transitions, animations, and more on iPhone.
