I know there are so many other threads about this topic but I just wanted to ask this questions. Do you have to have the OS X Yosemite Beta software running on your computer to be eligible for the program? I signed up for it but haven't downloaded it yet.

Nope. I don't have an OS X beta installed but I got the iOS beta.
