iOS unable to properly sort photos

I don't get this. I created some albums for trips I took this year and put photos in them, and the photo sorting are all over the place. Not chronologically at all. Why is this happening? Why does Apple think sorting my photos in a random way is easier than sorting them chronologically? This annoys me.

The sorting is:
- 19 October
- 18 October
- 20 October

How does that make sense?!

I think they get put in the album as you put on in. So if you have photo 1 in an album and put in 3 then 2 the order will be 1,3,2
