Hello,
Today at my work I updated my phone to iOS 5, and activated the phone as a new phone. (i knew i had a backup at home to restore all my photos, contacts, etc). (also: i used a dev license, not the shady update method going around).
now that i'm home, i plugged in the phone and now the only backup that appears is one from 20 minutes ago. i went to the library and a backup exists from the day i got the phone, and a backup from today.
when i click "restore from backup" in itunes, it says i last synced yesterday (true), but the backup file says today... am i to understand that itunes has overwritten yesterday's backup file with today's setup, which is basically a factory reset? that should not be a thing.
