I have an iPhone 6+, 128 GB, running iOS 8.1.1.

I have a 2007 iMac, running OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1, with Safari 8.0.

Both are connected to each other via Lightning to USB (directly on my iMac, not going through any external hubs or keyboards or anything.)

On my iPhone, I have enabled Settings > Safari > Advanced > Web Inspector.

On my iMac, I have enabled Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop menu in menu bar.

On my iPhone, I have pulled up the MacRumors.com homepage. I can see if in the tab view on my iMac - it knows what page is on my iPhone.

In the Develop menu, I see my iPhone listed. When I mouse over it, it says "Use for Development...". I click on that. Nothing happens.

I've looked around online. Most things don't mention "Use for Development..." at all, and the few places I've seen it mentioned, the problem was Safari wasn't running on the iOS device, or there was no page loaded on it. This is not the case on my iPhone.

Does anyone know what my problem is? Can anyone help me fix it? Can anyone reproduce it?
