Ios10 app change animation speed

I just upgraded from Ios 7 to 10 & it seems the animation speed when switching between apps & home screen is noticeably higher even with reduced motion turned on( esp when switching between safari tabs). It's kinda stressful. Any way to reduce it ?

Aside from the reduce motion setting I don't recall there being any particular controls that affect animations.
