I've seen this theme mentioned sporadically across the discussions but just adding my voice to the theory that there is an issue with iOS 16 and network connectivity. I'm in northern NJ and ever since I downloaded the iOS 16 public beta, I've had much reduced network reliability when off wifi. I knew I was on a beta so I didn't worry too much about it. Now that I'm on iOS 16 official release and even with my new iPhone 14 Pro, I'm still having the same issues. Very unreliable cellular service on my entire commute in and out of Manhattan. In addition, my wife, who did not upgrade her phone but did update to iOS 16 is saying to me, "why is my cell service so bad at work lately...and everyone at my work is saying the same thing?" On the train ride home from Manhattan last night, I rode with a colleague and she says to me, "my cell service is so bad on the ride home lately." (She isn't tech savvy so doesn't even realize she's now running iOS16 on her iPhone X but I could see when she showed me her screen).
It seems like something is definitely wrong with iOS 16 and cellular service. At least on Verizon in the metro New York area where service is normally rock solid.
