Anyone had experience with safari favorites stopped syncing through iCloud?

It started for me, very specifically in iOS18.2 RC1 - suddenly all my favorites in Safari was gone from the iPhone. and only here - everything is still present on my iPad running exact same level - iPadOS 18.2. And on the iPhone it's still an issue here on GM of 18.2.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have tried restarting devices, removing sync in icloud of safari - both the full safari and the favorites alone

And recreating a couple of favorites on iPhone does not get transferred to other devices in the iCloud account...

And this isn't fixing it:

I've had this happen a few times. Set up a new iPad, don't see my bookmarks, go through the work of recreating them. But then a day or two later they are all doubled. It seems to catch up overnight while charging. I just chalk it up to me using betas.

I'm trying to show patience - and did the disable favorites from inside Safari - and disable sync safari completely within icloud settings...

but - it's getting damn annoying! - and we're running the final at the moment, so it should work... -iPad syncs fine...

Annoying... And i wish there was a dedicated sync now button as there in the messenger settings....

I'm encountering this on my iPad after upgrading from iPadOS 17 to iPadOS 18.2, and it's about a week later.

On the new tab page (aka Start Page?) I'm used to seeing my big grid of Favourites, but there's nothing there. I've tried toggling that off and on in the Start Page's configuration, and disabling/enabling overall iCloud Safari sync. No luck. My Macs and iPhone are still fine.

EDIT: My grid of Favourites showed up again on 2025-01-07 (still running iPadOS 18.2). Not that satisfying a resolution to the problem because I have zero insight into what the actual problem was.

I’ve had this issue too and I think it might have to do with an adblocker installed. I have AdGuard and when I disable it, the sync starts immediately.
