So finally one of my friends has registered my UDID on his developer's account. So I've “obtained” (don't ask) the firmware and placed it on my desktop. Then various doubts started flowing out of my head: while I would love to try airplay (I have been in love with AirTunes since ages, the idea to use my iPhone with my remote speakers just thrills me so much!), I'm pretty concerned to use a beta software on my everyday phone (I'm worried about crashes, incompatibilities and on...).
So, for those of you that have access to this firmware and managed to install it onto their devices, how is your experience? It's safe to use it daily? Are to tempted by switching back to iOS 4.1?
thank you for your answers.

It is generally OKAY to use beta firmware. I have in the past and most of the kids go hunting for it. It's generally pretty much ready, they issue it out to devs so they can make sure their applications work with it.
