has iOS4 given us a bluetooth toggle shortcut on the homescreen or overlooked this simple yet so needed fix?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

Nope. Still need to jailbreak.

Ok, let me ask the silly question.... why not just leave it on? Is it a power usage or a security concern?

Sucks battery power like my kid sucks down a Popsicle.

I wish they would make it so my iPhone would automatically shut down both BlueTooth and WiFi once I leave the proximity of their respectively paired devices. It's annoying to drive down the street with WiFi on and my phone popping things up until I go in and shut it off. Same with BT...why not just auto off?

Come on Apple...get with some creative options.

-1 for not using the words "your mom."

idk why Apple just can't have like the wifi symbol and bluetooth symbol grayed on the status bar when they are off, then to enable and turn on, just tap the icon, and it lights up blue. Is it that hard to do?

If you are or know a developer, you can write a custom app to do this using pretty well documented private APIs.
