Hi,
Various iOS4 questions to get around paying carriers a fortune in tethering costs...
1. Am I correct in thinking that legal tethering requires the carrier (O2 UK in my case, but AT&T appear to be doing the same thing) to send a new carrier settings file to your phone?
2. If I then cancel my tethering subscription after 1 month, are the carriers able to FORCE you to use the previous (non-tethering) carrier settings?
3. Can I make a backup of those tethering settings to re-add them to the phone if O2 manage to remove them?
4. O2 didn't seem to know that I was tethering on my previous iPhone, so can they then tell if I'm tethering after I've cancelled my tethering sub?
Thanks guys,
DS
