ios5 issues...

so earlier today i downloaded ios 5. Got it all unlocked played with it for a while but it wouldn't let me make calls or send texts. And on top of that i cant sync to itunes. Is this my own stupidity or something wrong with the software or something else? :(
 
Did you register your iPhone with the developer program? If you did the Gizmodo hacktivation without activating your phone through the developer program that is one of the side effects. Your only few choices if you went that route would be to either get someone to activate your iPhone on a dev account, jailbreak and bypass the activation, or downgrade back to iOS 4.3.3.
