So you guys (developers) of course know about the top pop up in ios5 witch comes down for about 10 seconds and it goes away.
Well people complain how this is still annoying because there's no x option to make it go away quicker!
Well in beta 7 I just noticed that when it comes down when you slide it to the left it goes away!
Just letting you guys know.

Probably because nobody's mentioned it on here / seen it before.

Maybe not 'hidden' by definition, but a good find, anyway!

Mine displays it and then promptly it rolls around and goes away.....what am I missing?!? Those notifications don't stay on my screen

I pointed that out. It stays for about ten seconds then it goes away. But this is helpful if you want it to go away quicker than 10 seconds.

& about my texts and Facebook. I just become very anti social when college starts. Focus only on school my girlfriend and pot. :D

I thought it hangs around for 4-5 seconds.. Nice find though, surprised it hasn't been mentioned. Got used to it during all the betas and never thought to try swiping it away.

What the OP is saying is that if you want to dismiss the notification quick and not wait for it to roll away on its own, you can swipe it away.

Just tried it and I can clear it by pushing or sliding the notification up off the screen. You mentioned you slide it to the left?

When posted this it was my first try lol but now I've noticed you can just slide it or push it or whatever.

I'm not a developer so I can't try this but this is just another reason why I can't wait for the new iPhone and iOS 5!

Man, I wish they'd hurry it up with iOS 5 already! Can't wait for the new notifications thing. Looks really nice.

When you begin to slide it up or down it does behave like its an extension of the notification center, and the farther you slide it down it begins to curl/roll back to hide itself so by the time the notification center reaches the bottom the individual (original) notification is completely hidden. Really cool effect, difficult as hell to describe though.

a little off topic here, but no reason to start a new thread.

my question is, when u get a text notification like that in ios5, can u quick reply on the notification without leaving another open app, say facebook for example??

No, you can't. You still have to go into the app.
