iOS6 iPad update - failed 3 times

I've tried downloading the update 3 times on my new iPad and I have no idea why. It's on charge so it's not because its not plugged in. It downloads about 20% and then it says something like 'failed to update...' or something.

Any ideas why? Anyone else got this problem?

OTA update? Did you backup first? Most say you should backup first then do the update. I do that every time anyway. Updating my iPad right now so I don't know if it will fail.
