I updated to IOS6 the day it came out. The only problem I had was during that WIFI outage that took about 30 to 40 min for Apple to fix.

But now as a few days has gone by, I have noticed the battery life in my 4S going done much faster then the previous IOS. I don't have bluetooth on, and don't have but 2 Push Notifications for news, I don't use it to check email.

Not sure if I'm just imagining things or what?

Anyone else notice battery life down? Or is it just me?

Thanks for any help-

I voted "yes" to less battery life _but_ that was after doing an upgrade. My battery life was so bad in desperation I tried a full restore from iTunes. This actually fixed my problem.

I tried out the new update today and my iPhone only lasted till noon before it was dead without using it at all . Lucky I have my morphie case that's got a battery charger in it so I could make it threw the day

What about the option for better battery life?? For those who are having issues, make SURE you do a full charge cycle- night and day difference for me (fully charge, fully discharge until the phone won't turn on, then fully charge). Currently at 68%, whereas on iOS6 with similar usage I'd be around 35-45%.

It seems like the percentage drops quicker on ios6 but im not sure yet. doing a full charge and will let it go down and see how long i used it for

Mine did very bad today but I was in a low signal area. I'm going to gauge it for a few more days/weeks before I pass judgement.

Yes, I should have thought of that- Would have helped. Thus why I am still a newbie to the Forums.... sigh...

I did a clean install(restore) of iOS6 on my iPhone 4 and after 51 minutes of continuous screen and wifi usage looking at all the new features, combined with just over 4 hours of standby time, I am at 93%.

So after you updated to IOS6 the battery life got that bad that you had to do a full restore?

Yes - I'm pretty sure that's what I said.

The day I installed iOS 6 I left the house with 100% charge. When I got to work it was down to 80. I charged and went to lunch. At lunch I could literally watch the % drop. By the time I got back from lunch (1 hour) the phone was at 70%.

So I thought screw this and did a full restore.

Battery life is now back to normal.
