I want to connect an ipad to a wireless router which is not connected to the internet, to control audio equipment. When I connect to the wifi network I am taken to the router's login page and then disconnected.
I understand that the ipad looks for an apple page to see if it is connected to the internet and if that is unsuccessful, it thinks it is on a public network which requires login.
My issue is that I am using the router to connect to a piece of audio equipment so I can control it with the ipad. I neither have internet connection available, nor need it.
Is there any way I can disable this authentication, so I can connect to a wi-fi network that isn't connected to the internet?
