I thought it might be interesting to see which icons people are generally unhappy with (except for Settings and Safari, that is).

Vote in the poll, the icons you are the most unhappy with!

at first I hated the new icons, but they are growing on me. I felt like I was playing with a kids toy. So bright and colorful.

But now that I have installed some older apps without updated icons I feel the new icons are better.

That being said I would like the safari app to change. I keep thinking its the compass.

You also need either "Hate all of them" or the ability to select more than 1.

I can't believe that so many people are fixated on the Safari icon. The real abomination is that Settings icon!

Also, who cares about newsstand etc.. Most people them in a folder anyway!

All the icons need to go! The calendar, phone and message icons are decent.

All icons need some work. I dont hate them all, just...if I had to choose the ugliest. It would be the Safari icon. But I'll get used to the icons eventually.

I find it funny how people want all the icons to go, and YET some of the apps are shells of what is left of iOS 6....also I finally know how the icons go together thanks to Apple's video.

I agree, the settings icon is terrible. It reminds me of a cross between the Darma logo from Lost and the Death Star. Both cool things, but have nothing to do with settings.

I don't mind the matte flat theme of the icons, but some of them are just confusing.

Everyone bashed skeuomorphism, and I agree than iOS6 had a bit too much of it, but skeuomorphism has a place and should still play a role in design. Icons by definition are meant to remind the user visually what they are a shortcut to. Thus, if the icon looks nothing like the function of what it brings up (or a logo of a brand), then it causes me to read the title under the icon line by line, thus defeating the purpose of the icon entirely.
