ios7 maps stuck on locating

ok so the maps are completely useless for me right now i will put in an address and it will start to take me there then it will get stuck and say it is "locating" for several minutes at a time before finally figuring out where i am, or it will just tell me to proceed to the route and never figure out that im already on the way, then when it does find out where i am, the same process repeats every couple of minutes, this has been going on since ive downloaded ios7 and in several cities.
