Does anyone else think there is a possibility that iOS7 will feature some yet unannounced feature?

Seems me that many developers are saying that their app will be updated day one with iOS7 and many of those will be only iOS7 compatible.

Is their a reason for this more than just matching the look and feel of the new OS?

I think there will be some extra features not yet talked about. I'm hoping that one of them is responding to messages/emails from the lock screen. I also anticipate some software integration with the fingerprint sensor. As far as developers KNOWING about some hidden features, that is very unlikely. Those comments are probably because of the look and feel.

There are definitely features of the new OS that are reserved for the next hardware revision (iPhone 5S or whatever you want to call it).

New iPhones aren't just hardware spec improvements - they come with new software features. That's part of what's new about each model.

There where no software exclusive feature for the 5. The phone was redesign. Based on passed releases, the software feature is left of the S version of the phone: video recording on the 3GS, Siri and voice dictation on the 4S.

nope.

I'm hoping they have a hidden feature, and it's called 'choose your own app icon design'.

Does the 4s support that ? Cant remember any app or JB tweak that made it possible.

It is specific to iPhone 5, but who knows if it's due to better hardware or not. Either way it is hardly a huge, purchase worthy feature (to me at least. I've used it a few times to try it out but not much more).
But as people before here said, iPhone 5 was a redesign model (big hardware changes) and it didn't need a big exclusive software feature to sell (although 4s would still sell tens and tens of millions even without Siri)

You missed Facetime when the iPhone 4 was released, which 3GS didn't get.

I go back to Phil Schillers comment at WWDC when he says "Can't innovate anymore my ass". This tells me that the iPhone 5S will have something more than a new camera and new processor. That isn't innovation.

Not correct. The feature was still shot during video capture.

His comment was in relation to ios7
