Hi all,

I have an iPhone 4 and did the stupid thing and upgraded to iOS7 and now there is an issue with my text messages. My phone does not notify me that I have a new text message and the only way I will know is by clicking on the text message app and going into the application and that's when I will see them – sometimes I may even get messages a lot later than I should have received them. I have never used iMessage as I’m not a fan of it so I leave this switched off.

Can anyone help please???

Argh I am very annoyed over this. Don't know what apple has done to message notifications but this is how iOS 7 works.

The only notification of a new message you receive is the numbered bubble in the messages icon. But it's not the same as iOS 6 :(

Settings>Notification Center>Messages>

Select "Banners"

Turn on Badge App Icon
Choose an alert sound
Turn on Show in Notification Center
Turn on Show on Lock Screen
Turn on Show Preview (if you want)
Turn on Repeat Alerts
Select "Show Alerts from Everyone"
