Hello,

Is anyone else encountering this and if so what are you doing about it;

I have a new iPhone 6 and I use Aperture (for now, until is EOL'd early next year, at which point I'll prob just migrate to "photos" if it keeps a decent amount of the editing tools aperture has).

When I import my pics taken with the iphone6 to my Aperture library I am told that there are files that are not recognized and it asks me where to put them. They are .aae files which according to a google search are sidecar files pertaining to the non destructive editing in iOS8. Each photo has a .jpg (which imports fine) and the .aae file.

What are you guys doing with the .aae files? I can't tell if my edits are making it to aperture or what the deal is with the aae file. I guess I will delete the aae file and I may have to experiment with (i.e. make some drastic edits, import, and then delete the aae file) if these files are "junk" or need to be kept. I hope not the later.

Anyone else know anything about this and how to manage these files?

Thanks!
