It anyone else having this issue?
I have a new multi pack of iPad Airs delivered from Apple, supervised via DEP enroute to my location, that have lightning cables that are not being detected as legit Apple products.
The Airs arrived with iOS7.1.2, I completed our setup using an MDM and as a final step updated the iPads to iOS8 before sending them out the end user. During the 1.2G update, I plugged the Airs in using the lightning cables sent with them to keep them charged while updating.
A notification popup appeared, informing me that the lightning cables are not recognized as official Apple accessories. This has currently happened only a few of the ten. The really odd thing is if I turn the cable over or unplug it and plug it in again, it will occasionally be recognized as an official accessory.
