Hi

I'm having an issue with my Mac Pro (2.66 Quad Core Intel running 10.8.2) since the latest OS upgrade. I have a fixed IP address for this machine and a fixed IP address for the wireless card (obviously a different one) and I regularly get a pop up box stating that the IP address is in use by another device.

I've checked the network and all seems fine and nothing has the same IP address. I have changed the IP address twice and even with the new IPs I get the same message but only rarely. The DHCP range is well above the static IPs I use.

Anyone seen this before or since the update or can offer a solution?

Ta.

Do you have "Wake for Network Access" turned on? If so, try turning it off. I was having that problem, and I seem to remember that fixing it haha.

As it happens I do and if I recall correctly I only recently made this change. It may have coincided with the problem arising though I can't be 100% sure. I will turn it off and see where we go. Thanks.
