Quick question about changing an IP address. I want to set up 2 computers on the same internet connection side by side but need seperate IP's. I don't know if this would matter any but the laptop I'm using is connected by a router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The router will automatically assign a different IP to each computer.
If you are looking to have different IPs out on the world web as opposed to just on your home network things get a little more complicated. First you will have to have an ISP who provides multiple IPs, you usually have to pay extra for this, then set the router to only act as a hub, leaving the IP address assigning up to the ISP.
