Dear members is it possible to block my IP address. I got a massage saying IP configuration in use by a server!

System Preferences, Network, Advanced. Instead of having it obtain the IP address automatically, choose DHCP with Manual IP and change the last set of numbers by one either way until you find an IP that is open.

I'm thinking that maybe some one is using my IP address! I got a massage saying ip configuration[number] in use by [number] dhcp server [number]. What does this mean?

It means that another computer on the network is using the IP address that you were using.

Just change your preset IP by one number and you should be able to connect. If not, keep changing it until you can.
