is there an app for this in cydia or the appstore?

I remember cycorder kept recording when u hit the sleep button


is there a hack to make the default recorder do this

OP is a disgusting pervert. There's only one reason you wouldn't want to draw attention to the screen while it takes a voyeur video. You're a creeper trying to record people in public or you're recording someone without their permission.

he could also be trying to find out if someone is stealing from his bedroom, office, etc. or trying to prank someone, so many ideas come to my head right now...
 
OP there was another thread were this question was answered, you need to download a app called screendimmer. I believe this app turns off the screen or backlight, this is the closest to what you want done without using the sleep button.
 
what if you get Backgrounder and get the camera app to run in the background? will that work?
