iP4 Line Out Volume Control

I use the line out (30 pin connector) to plug into my car stereo. On my 3G, once the 30 pin connector was plugged in, all volume control was done through the head unit. Now with iP4 OR iOS4 (I don't know which one) the head unit controls the volume as normal but the volume buttons on the phone also control volume output. Not sure if I like this.

There must be some compatibility problems between ios 4 and your particular headunit. Volume controls work as they did before in my car.

Same thing is happening with Bluetooth Audio Stream.
