iP4s Recieving Texts As iMessage and Text?

Why would I be recieving double text messages suddenly from someone, one as an iMessage message then shortly after as a text message.

Tell that person to turnoff "Resend as Text" in Settings>Messages.

Also: Both of you could try a Soft Reset of your phones. If that doesn't help, try a Reset Network Settings in Settings>General>Reset. Beware: This wipes out all of your preset WiFi connections, so you'll have to go back and re-them.

Why do you hate iMessage?

I cant see an option called "Resend as Text" in Settings>Messages?

Settings....messages....send as SMS.
