Typing seems much more accurate on the iPhone 5. Screen seems a lot more accurate. Not sure if it's just the novelty of the new phone or if others are noticing the same thing.

Screen is definitely more accurate and responsive for me compared to my iPhone 4S, but I still manage to make loads of mistakes. More so my clumsy typing I guess! :p

Please let this be true. That would be great and would mark a reversal from the steady decline of typing accuracy since iOS3.

Yes, typing is much better on the 5.

It was one of the first things I noticed actually. I put it down to being much more responsive than my 4 due to the CPU/RAM upgrade.

It could be due to the phone being more responsive and/or the in-cell touch sensor technology allowing for less distance/layers between the LED display and the glass.

Also, according to iFixIt and Chipworks, the iPhone 5 has two touch screen controllers.
