I have iPad 1 with version 4.2.1. Am I still able to jailbreak it? As I know most jailbreak tools needs to create custom ipsw and restore on itunes. Will it still work? Please help me. Thanks.

Updating to ios5 is the kiss of death for the iPad 1. Crashes like crazy.

I personally down own iPad 1. But here many people have reported that iOS 5.1 has fixed most of the issues with iPad 1. And its as fast as it was on ios 4..

Nope, not for me. Safari still crashes for me, but it has been doing that since 3.x.

Easiest way is right from the device: go to jailbreakme.com

I heard that initially but after reading the Apple forums I'm still too scared try it again. Ah, well, my kids don't notice what iOS version it's on. :D
