I'm on the cusp of purchasing an ipad 1 64gb 3G (used) vs ipad 2 16gb. Both are $500, any opinions?

I've used a 64gb 3G model for almost a year now. I am currently on my iPad 2 and will never go back. The speed is very noticeable. My vote would be to spend the extra $$$ and get a 16gb 3G model. Unless you don't plan to use GPS / 3G. Home share with iTunes is working well so I no longer have the need to store most of my videos. The iPad 2 is crazy smooth. I highly suggest trying it out. With all of that said, I loved my first iPad and could have easily kept using it without regret.

I agree here. I just purchased a 16gb iPad 2. I first wanted 64gb but could not locate one. I went to best buy to put a deposit down on one coming in when the guy told me they just got a shipment in and he has a 16gb 3G iPad 2. I've only used about 12gb (in a year) and decided my useage will not change. I walked out with the 16gb 3G and saved 200 bucks...hooray!! Love it too. It's much faster than first gen. My only reason for upgrading. I'm pleased.
