iPad 1 case vs iPad 2 cover?

Who besides me that has an iPad 2 prefers the iPad 1 case over the new iPad 2 cover?

I like the design and I like the fact that the magnets turn the iPad on and off, but I do not feel that it protects the iPad in anyway. Also, it is not very good for using it on uneven surfaces such as your lap.
