-My sister has both ipad 1 and ipad 2
-On ipad 2 her facebook app shows timeline
-On ipad 1 the facebook app ***doesn't*** show timeline

Is there a way to show it (settings somehow?),or is it the difference between io5 (the max ipad 1 can use) and io6 ???

Are you sure the app has been updated to the latest version on the ipad1?

If so, it would be because the devs of Facebook app chose not to enable Timeline for devices running iOS5 or earlier, not because of any limitations of the OS itself.

My mother's iPad 1 also refused to show Timeline when the app updated this summer. She was already updated to iOS 5.1 at the time, so that can't be the limitation since other iPads were showing it (this was before iOS 6's release).

Is anyone on an iPad 1 actually getting it?

Best to check the app's compatibility/exceptions in the listing on the App Store. Should tell you there what exclusions you can expect on iPad1
